Winter Weather Contributing Factor In Collisions

One person was taken to hospital following a collision in Cobourg on Monday, November 11, 2019.

At approximately 2:40 p.m. emergency services were dispatched to Densmore Road just west of Otto Drive.

A vehicle was travelling west on Densmore Road when it lost control and slid sideways. The drivers side door hit another SUV head-on.

Emergency services attended and one drivers was taken to hospital.

It was one of a series of collisions along Highway 401 and Northumberland County.

Road conditions throughout the area were slippery with the first snow fall of the season.

Police remind people to always drive to the conditions of the roads.
