Peterborough County OPP Media Release MVC

In Police Blotter

(DOURO-DUMMER TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision at the intersection of County Road 4 and Highway 28 around 12:00pm today.

 

A westbound motor vehicle had stopped and began to proceed through the intersection. A northbound motor vehicle failed to stop at the intersection and struck the westbound motor vehicle. A 7 year old female was ejected from the westbound motor vehicle as a result of the impact.

 

All 6 occupants of the westbound vehicle were transported to hospital and 5 were later released. The 7 year old female was kept in hospital for observation of non-life threatening injuries.

 

Judy ANDREW (age 66) of Burlington, Ontario was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Disobey Stop Sign – Fail to Stop

She was the lone occupant of the northbound vehicle.
