Northumberland OPP – Contents Stolen From Locked Vehicle

On Tuesday August 13, 2019 at approximately 7:30 am members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an address on Ireton Street in the town of Campbellford after contents from a parked vehicle were reported stolen.

The owner of a red Chevrolet SUV called police after waking in the morning to find that the passenger side window of her vehicle had been smashed by a brick and the black tote type purse she left on the floor within the vehicle had been stolen.

The victim parked and locked the vehicle after arriving home at around midnight. The theft is believed to have occurred between the hours of 1:00 am – 7:00 am.

Contents inside the stolen purse included:
· Vehicle documents
· $100 LCBO gift card
· Samsung tablet with serial number R52GB0J2P2T
· A book of personalized cheques
· Cash
· A black coloured Kate Spade designer wallet containing various types of identification, credit cards and banking cards.

The Northumberland OPP is asking for the public’s assistance with this ongoing investigation and would ask that anyone with information to call their nearest OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
