Northumberland OPP – Male Facing Several Charges After Collision

(CRAMAHE TOWNSHIP, ON) – On August 9, 2019 just before 6:30 pm members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a silver coloured Chevrolet sedan that had rolled over in a ditch on Little Lake Road just north of County Road 2. The male driver was reported to have allegedly assaulted citizens that were trying to assist him.

Police arrived on scene and found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. As a result of the investigation Dylan KNAPMAN (age 25) of Cobourg, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
· Uttering Threats – Damage Property (two counts)
· Fail to Comply with Probation Order
· Operation while Prohibited
· Fail to Comply with Prohibition Regarding Children (two counts)
· Assault
· Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs
· Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.

No serious injuries were sustained during this incident.
