Northumberland OPP – Scarborough Man Charged With Speeding

Members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a red Nissan Pick-up truck on Friday July 19, 2019 just after 1:00 pm after it was measured travelling 173 km/h on Highway 401 eastbound in Port Hope near Wesleyville Road.

Imran Patrick Habib ABDULLAH (age 35) of Scarborough, Ontario was charged with:
· Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed.
His driver’s licence was suspended for seven days and the vehicle he was driving was towed and impounded. He is scheduled to appear in Cobourg court on August 28, 2019.

The OPP would like to remind motorists that highway safety is a shared responsibility. Do your part this summer – Slow down, be patient, drive according to conditions and traffic volume and ensure you allow more than enough time to get to your destination safely.
