Pickup Goes Off Highway 401 Gets Buried In Brush

One person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a dual-wheeled pick-up went off Highway 401 and into thick brush early Wednesday morning on June 19, 2019.

Shortly after 5 p.m. emergency services including Cobourg and Hamilton Township Fire Department’s responded to the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 just east of the Ontario Street overpass in Cobourg.

A truck went off the highway and into thick brush so much, that it wasn’t visible from the roadway.

The lone occupant of the vehicle was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

Northumberland OPP are continuing their investigation.
