Update – Three People Arrested After Drug Warrant Execution in Cobourg

On Thursday May 2, 2019 members of the Peterborough/Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Units (CSCU) in conjunction with Cobourg Police Service and with the assistance of the OPP Emergency Response Team executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act warrant at a residence in the town of Cobourg.

Investigators arrested three people and seized quantities of suspected crack cocaine, fentanyl, cash and a prohibited weapon.

Adams STOKES (age 34), Martin TABITHA (age 39), of Cobourg, Ontario, and Jamal Leonard DARIUS (age 30) of no fixed address were arrested and charged with:
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking -Cocaine.
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking – Other Drugs
Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Carry Firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner
STOKES was additionally charged with fail to comply with probation order.
Adams STOKES and Martin TABITHA were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on May 29, 2019
Leonard DARIUS was held in custody pending the results of a Show Cause Hearing.
