Kawartha Lakes OPP – Fatal ATV Collision

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews were called to assist at an ATV collision at a property on Fenel Road shortly before 5:30p.m. this evening.

A lone female rider was located by friends, after her ATV rolled and she was ejected from the machine. The 54-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The area of the crash has been cordoned off and police will remain on-scene for several hours while OPP members trained in collision reconstruction measure, document the scene, and gather evidence. The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
