Quinte West OPP – Cobourg Driver Arrested for Failing To Stop for Police

DRIVER ARRESTED FOR FAILING TO STOP FOR POLICE
On April 9, 2019 at approximately 8:30 p.m. officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attempted to stop a motor vehicle for a highway traffic offence on Stanley Street, in the city of Quinte West. The vehicle sped off failing to stop for police. The vehicle was located a short distance later with the driver being arrested.
Matthew Spencer FRY, 26 year old of Cobourg, is charged with:
• Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
• Flight while Pursued by Police Officer
• Fail to Comply with Probation
The accused is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice on May 16, 2019.
