Two Vehicle Collision Highway 401 At Colborne

Shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 emergency services were called to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 401 eastbound at the Colborne exit.
Witnesses said one vehicle was travelling eastbound at a high rate of speed when it attempted to pass another vehicle on the right shoulder of the highway.
The vehicle lost control and hit another vehicle causing it to lose control. Both vehicles went off the highway with one vehicle rolling several times.
An elderly woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. None of the people in the other car were injured. The investigation is continuing.
