Northumberland OPP – Trent Hills Woman Charged with Uttering Threats

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual following an investigation into reported threats.

On December 23, 2025, police received a report from a Trent Hills resident regarding unwanted communications containing threats from a family member. The communications had reportedly been ongoing since late October.

As a result of the investigation, on January 6, 2026, a 20-year-old female from the Municipality of Trent Hills was arrested and charged with:

– Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm

– Harassing communications

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in February. The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the complainant.
