One man has been arrested and there is a warrant out for a female in connection with the theft of vases from a Whitby cemetery.
Michael AUDINO, age 44, of Toronto is facing 10 criminal charges, including Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime, and Fail to Comply with Recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Marion PELLICORE, age 50, of No Fixed Address on charges of: Theft Over $5,000; Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime over $5,000 x3; Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime under $5,000 x2; Traffic in Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 x2; Fail to Comply with Probation Order and Fail to Comply with Recognizance.
A quantity of vases has been recovered by the DRPS and they been returned to Mount Lawn Memorial Funeral Home & Cemetery in Whitby.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with new information is asked to contact Det. Groat of the Central West Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1845.
