Peterborough Police – Incidents Include Drug Arrest, Impaired Arrest (No Names Released)

Drug Arrest

A 46-year-old Peterborough woman is facing drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop Monday morning.

At approximately 9:30am on Monday, December 15, 2025, an officer on general patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of Rubidge Street and Charlotte Street.  It was further learned that the driver was a suspended driver and took her into custody. During a search of the vehicle after arrest officers located and seized:

  • 7.9 grams of crystal methamphetamine
  • 166.8 grams of cocaine
  • 85.2 grams of green fentanyl
  • Approximately $8500 in Canadian currency

As a result of the investigation, a 46-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 – in Canada
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine x2
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin) Fentanyl
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Driving while under suspension (Highway Traffic Act)
  • Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit (Highway Traffic Act)

The accused was held in custody and appeared in court, December 15, 2025.

 

Impaired Arrest

A 31-year-old Peterborough woman is facing an impaired charge after an incident early Tuesday morning.

At approximately 1:05am on December 16, 2025, officers were called about a possible impaired driver.  Officers located a vehicle matching the description given to police travelling at a high rate of speed with no taillights on in the Lansdowne Street and Ford Street area.  Officers were able to conduct a traffic stop at Lansdowne Street and Park Street South and noticed signs of impairment with the driver.

As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driver fail to surrender licence (Highway Traffic Act)
  • Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle (Highway Traffic Act)
  • Fail to surrender insurance card (Highway Traffic Act)

The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court January 27, 2026.

 

Impaired Arrest

A 35-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after a concerned citizen called police.

At approximately 1:30am on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, officers were called to a business in the King Street and Sherbrooke Street area after concern that a patron, who was possibly impaired, had driven away almost striking a staff member. Officers located a vehicle and a driver matching the description given to police outside of a residence.  When speaking with the driver they noticed signs of impairment.

As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court January 27, 2026.
