Belleville Police – Incidents Include Assault, Theft of E-Bike

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 96 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on July 31, 2025 to 5:00 am on August 1, 2025.

Assault
On July 31st at approximately 8:30pm, Belleville Police spoke with a female who attended the police station to report an assault. Police learned that while the female was driving, a verbal altercation occurred between her and a male passenger. The male began yelling, and struck the dashboard and windshield, causing damage. He also physically assaulted the female during the incident.

As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old male was arrested and charged with:
· Assault
· Uttering threats
· Mischief under $5,000

He was held for a bail hearing.

Stolen E-bike
On July 31st at 10:29am, Belleville Police responded to a call on Cannifton Rd. regarding a theft. Upon arrival, police learned that an E-bike had been stolen from outside a business. One male, described as wearing a blue ballcap, camo hoodie and backpack, black pants, and blue runners, stole the E-bike and fled the scene.
The E-bike is black with the word “CROWN” in grey writing and has a black metal basket on the back.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the stolen E-bike is asked to contact Belleville Police at 613-966-0882.
