Northumberland OPP – Cobourg Woman Arrested for Obstruct (Name Released)

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested a wanted person following a traffic stop.

On June 17, 2025, shortly after 2:40 a.m., officers were on patrol in the area of Elizabeth Street when they observed a vehicle associated with a suspended driver.

The vehicle was stopped by police, and the passenger was recognized as a person wanted on a warrant.

The individual provided incorrect information to OPP regarding their identity.

As a result, Tara TURK (39), from Cobourg, was arrested and charged with:

– Obstruct peace officer.

The accused was held to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
