Durham Regional Police – OnDemand Driver Arrested for Impaired Driving (Name Released)

A driver of a Durham Regional Transit (DRT) OnDemand vehicle has been arrested for impaired driving in Oshawa

On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of Central West Division responded to a call for service in the area of Conlin Road and Manor Drive after a witness observed an OnDemand bus being driven in a reckless manner.   Officers were able to locate the vehicle and placed the driver under arrest for impaired driving.

Thipakar CHANDRASEKARAM, age 32, of Toronto is charged with: Operation While Impaired and Operation While Impaired – Exceed.

He was released on an Undertaking.
