The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid weapons charges following a call for service.
On May 8, 2025, at approximately 8:20 a.m., officers responded a report of a person needing medical attention near a residence on Meade Street in the Municipality of Brighton. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were also requested to provide assistance to the individual.
Officers located pepper spray on the person and as a result, they were taken into custody. Following medical care, the accused was transported to a local detachment.
Lucas MYLES, 28-years-old, from the Municipality of Trent Hills, has been charged with:
– Unauthorized possession of weapon
– Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.
The individual is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in C obourg at a future date.
