Port Hope Police Scam Alert: Fraudulent Princess Margaret Hospital Lottery Calls

The Port Hope Police Service is warning residents about a recent scam involving fraudulent claims of a Princess Margaret Hospital Lottery win.

Scammers contacted residents, claiming they had won $260,000 and a Dodge Ram pick-up truck. The caller advised they would deliver the prize at 3p.m. the same day. Fortunately, a suspicious family member intercepted the phone call, prompting the scammer to hang up immediately.

In this instance, no personal information was provided, and the incident was reported to Port Hope Police.
