City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Two Individuals Facing Drug Charges (Names Released)

City of Kawartha Lakes OPP have charged two individuals following a traffic stop on January 13, 2025.

At approximately 4:00 p.m., an OPP officer conducted a traffic stop on Pigeon Lake Road. During the interaction, the officer engaged with both the driver and the passenger, which led to an investigation under the Cannabis Control Act.

As a result of the investigation, both individuals were arrested and subsequently charged.

22-year-old, Alexandra McCrimmon from Thornhill with;

– Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking

– Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

– Turn not in safety

22-year-old, Shamari Maragh from Oshawa with;

– Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking

– Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000.00

They were released from custody with conditions and will appear in Court in Lindsay on a later date.
