Video – Woman Given Ticket After Being Escorted Off East Pier in Cobourg

A woman was ticketed after Cobourg Police escorted her off the east pier on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

The woman was spotted at approximately 2:50 p.m. on the east pier, south of signs stating there is “no access beyond this point.”

At times the woman walked back and forth along the narrow pier before continuing her walk to the lighthouse.

Cobourg Police arrived on scene, carefully walked to where the woman was and escorted her back to safety where she was given a ticket for trespassing.

Cobourg Fire Department was also dispatched to the scene.

Parts of the area where the woman was walking are covered in ice and extremely dangerous.
