Belleville Police Service – Incidents Include Impaired Driving, Beach of Conditions, Stolen Truck

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 119 calls for service between 5:00 am on 31 December, 2024 to 5:00 am on January 2, 2025.

Impaired driving
On 31 December, 2024, at 7:00pm an officer on general patrol conducted a traffic stop on Cannifton Road. The officer observed the driver showing signs of impairment and conducted a road side breath test, which the driver failed. James Mcmullen, 43, of Belleville was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a conveyance over 80mgs. He was released with a 30 January, 2025 court date.

Breach of conditions
On 31 December, 2024, police received a call regarding a male breaching his release conditions. The complaint advised that her ex has been attempting to contact her, and he attended her residence which is a breach of his release conditions stemming from a previous domestic assault related investigation. The male fled the area upon police arrival; however, on 1 January, he turned himself to police. The 30-year-old Kingston man was held for a bail hearing on 2 January, 2025

Stolen vehicle picture attached
On 1 January, 2025 at 1:15pm, Belleville Police received a complaint regarding stolen vehicle. The complainant advised that a 1993 black GMC pick license plate BK32234 was stolen from a driveway on Station Street sometime between Monday 30 December at 12:00pm and 1 January at 9:00am. Anyone with information regarding this vehicle is asked to call the Belleville Police Service.
