Northumberland OPP Recover Stolen Vehicle in Welcome

Northumberland OPP recovered a stolen vehicle on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

At approximately 9:10 a.m. police received a complaint from an employee at a gas station in Welcome on County Road 2 about a stolen vehicle police had been looking for in the area.

Port Hope Police initially received the call and shortly after OPP received a call and arrived on scene at the gas station.

There were no occupants and are currently looking for a second stolen vehicle to the incidents.

OPP including Emergency Response Team members along with Port Hope Police were on scene looking in the area for the second stolen vehicle..

Northumberland OPP said the first stolen vehicle recovered is a passenger vehicle and the second vehicle that is still outstanding is a grey SUV.
