Long Weekend Ruined But No Serious Injuries After Camper Trailer Flips On Highway 401

An accident on Highway 401 ruined one families long weekend after their SUV and camper trailer flipped over by Cobourg on August 31, 2018.

At approximately 12:30 p.m. a vehicle hauling a trailer fish-tailed and flipped over on its side just east of Burnham Street in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401.

Emergency services closed two lanes of traffic until the debris was cleared and given it was the start of the holiday weekend, traffic was backed up till Port Hope.

There were no serious injuries in the accident.
