Durham Regional Police – Two Females Killed and One Male is in Custody in Courtice

Two females have been located deceased and a male is in custody after a double homicide in Courtice.

On Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at approximately 1:10 p.m., members of East Division responded to a residential address on Moulton Court in Courtice to check on the wellbeing of the occupants. Officers arrived on scene and located two females deceased inside the residence suffering from obvious signs of trauma. A child, who was also inside the residence was uninjured. The identities of the deceased are not being released by investigators at this time.

A 33-year-old-male was arrested on scene without incident.

Members of the Forensic Investigative Services and Homicide Unit are currently on scene and will remain there for some time.

Our thoughts are with the families who have been impacted by this tragedy and we will provide further information as it becomes available.
