Peterborough Police – Peterborough Man Charged with Attempted Murder (No Name Released)

A 29-year-old Peterborough man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with a hit and run earlier this week.

At approximately 4:30pm on Thursday, September 6, 2024, officers with the Investigative Services Unit located a suspect in the George Street and Townsend Street area and took him into custody.

As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Attempt to commit murder
  • Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm
  • Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Operation while prohibited
  • Fail to Comply with Probation

During the investigation it was learned that the accused was a prohibited driver and bound by a probation order with the following conditions: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, September 6, 2024.
