Cobourg Police – Looking For Public’s Assistance Regarding Road Rage Incident

The Cobourg Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance with a road rage incident that took place on
Monday afternoon in Cobourg.

On August 12, 2024, at approximately 3:20 p.m., a silver SUV was travelling southbound on Division Street, approaching Elgin Street, when the driver and passenger were confronted by the occupants of a black vehicle, believed to be an early 2000s VW Golf with no front plate and aftermarket rims. During the confrontation, damage was done to the SUV.

The investigation is ongoing. The Cobourg Police is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the occupants of the black vehicle. Anyone with information, dashcam, or CCTV footage of the area is asked to call police at 905-372-6821 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or visiting stopcrimehere.ca. Tips received through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
