Cobourg Police – Couple Arrested at Encampment in Cobourg Held for Bail (No Names Released)

A Durham man and Cobourg woman face charges after a police investigation into a domestic assault.

On Saturday, June 15, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., police responded to the encampment in Cobourg for a report of two individuals engaged in a verbal and physical altercation.

As a result of the investigation, a 46-year-old Durham man was arrested and charged with (spousal) Assault, and a 49-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with (spousal) Assault, Fail to comply with Probation and Fail to comply with Undertaking.

Both were held for a bail hearing.
