Video – No Concern for Public Safety After Body Discovered Near Gage’s Creek in Port Hope

Port Hope Police say there is no concern for public safety at this time following the discovery of a body on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

Shortly after 9 p.m. emergency services were called to the area of Gage’s Creek south of County Road 2 in Port Hope’s east end.

A body was discovered in an area close to the creek.

The area was immediately cordoned off by both Northumberland OPP and Port Hope Police.

Port Hope Police Chief Tim Farquharson told Today’s Northumberland that at this time there is no concern for public safety and it is a joint investigation by both Port Hope Police and Northumberland OPP.
