Northumberland OPP – Oshawa Woman Charged with Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fraud (Name Released)

Officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged an individual as a result of a theft and fraud investigation.

On March 9, 2024, at approximately 2:30 p.m., OPP responded to a theft of a bank card belonging to a customer who was at a commercial premises in Roseneath. Unauthorized transactions had occurred at another nearby premises using the stolen card and the suspect had left the area prior to police arrival.

OPP identified an individual associated to an address in Oshawa and as a result of the investigation, officers located the accused on April 26, 2024.

Chrystal LAMBERT, 35-years-old, from Oshawa has been charged with the following offences:

·        Theft under $5000

·        Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·        Fraud under $5,000.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
