Tree Limb Disables Transport in Cobourg

There were no injuries after a transport struck a tree in Cobourg on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. a westbound transport was travelling along King Street East.

The transport was pulling over just west of Walton Street when it struck a large limb of the tree.

The limb came down between the trailer and cab portion of the unit, damaging both and blocking the roadway.

A vehicle that was traveling westbound was also damaged, but there were no injuries to either driver.

Public Works arrived and closed King Street East until the limb was removed from the road.

No word on charges.
