Video – Electric Wheelchair User Injured in Port Hope Collision

A person in an electric wheelchair was taken to hospital with minor injuries following a collision with a vehicle in Port Hope on Thursday morning.

Emergency crews were dispatched to Jocelyn Street, just west of Cavan Street, shortly after 10 a.m. for a collision involving an electric wheelchair and a vehicle.

Initial information indicates both the vehicle and the electric wheelchair were travelling eastbound when the collision occurred.

The wheelchair user was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Port Hope Police say the investigation remains ongoing and charges are pending.

More information is expected as the investigation continues.
