Port Hope Police – Arrest Made Following Break and Enter (No Name Released)

On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at approximately 2:12 a.m., Port Hope Police responded to a report of a break and enter at the Canco gas station on Ontario Street in Port Hope.

Police learned that multiple suspects entered the business before fleeing the area.

As a result of the investigation, a 60-year-old male was arrested and charged with:

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

Theft Under $5,000

Disguise with Intent

Break and Enter – Commit Indictable Offence

The investigation remains ongoing.
