Cobourg Kodiaks Have Must-Win Game Saturday in Owen Sound

In Sports

The Cobourg Kodiaks can earn their way into the Major Series Lacrosse playoffs with a win in their final regular season game on the road Saturday.

Cobourg (9-8) is currently sitting two points out of the fourth and final spot, but would overtake the Brooklin Lacrosse Club from Whitby if they can defeat the host Owen Sound (1-15) in that final contest.

The Kodiaks were holding a fourth-place tie-breaker before Brooklin earned a 14-1 win over the Oakville Rock on Wednesday night to move two points ahead.

Cobourg has won both previous meetings with Owen Sound this season.
