Peterborough Police – Incidents Include Theft Arrest, Weapon Arrest, Warrant Arrest (No Names Released)

Theft Arrest

A 38-year-old Peterborough woman has been arrested for theft, as well as 7 charges of failing to comply with probation by a Community F.I.R.S.T officer.

At approximately 12:30pm on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, officers were dispatched to a business in the area of Lansdowne Street and Park Street. Officers learned that the suspect had concealed several items in a bag and left the area. Officers located the suspect in a neighbouring store, and placed the woman under arrest.

As a result of the investigation, the 38-year-old Peterborough woman was charged with:

·       Theft under $5,000

·       Fail to comply with probation x7

The suspect is currently on several conditions not to attend the business. The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

 

Weapon Arrest

A 53-year-old Peterborough man has been arrested on multiple charges after an incident Tuesday evening.

At approximately 8:00pm on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, officers were dispatched to a business in the area of Lansdowne Street and Webber Ave for a man that had pulled a knife on an employee. The suspect was gone from the area when officers arrived. A description of the suspect was given to police and it was aired for observation.

Officers located the suspect a while later in the area of Haggart Street and Ware Street. As a result of the investigation, the 53-year-old Peterborough man was charged with:

·       Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

·       Uttering threats

·       Theft under $5,000

·       Mischief under $5,000

 

The accused was released on an undertaking and scheduled to attend court on September 28, 2026.

 

Warrant Arrest

A 38-year-old Peterborough man wanted on warrants was arrested early Wednesday morning.

At approximately 1:30am on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, officers were called to a residence in the area of Broadway Blvd and Grange Way for an unwanted person. Officers located the man and took him into custody on the strength of the warrants for failing to comply with probation order and possession of a schedule I substance.

During the investigation, the man was further charged with:

·       Failing to comply with probation

The man was held in custody and will appear in court today, July 15, 2026.
