City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Collision Leads to Impaired Driving Arrest (Name Released)

Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision and entered into an impaired driving investigation.

On Friday July 03, 2026 at approximately 10:18 am officers responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision in Bobcaygeon on Main Street where a motor vehicle hit a parked vehicle. Through investigation the driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving related offences under the Criminal Code of Canada and Highway Traffic Act offences.

Jason Tully, 53 year old of Trent Lakes, was charged with:

Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

Careless Driver

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The drivers licence was suspended for 90 days and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
