Northumberland OPP – Cramahe Township Man Charged with Criminal Harassment (Name Released)

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual following a report of trespassing.

On April 22, 2026, shortly after 5:00 a.m., police responded to a report of an unwanted person at a residence on Waites Road in the Township of Cramahe. The caller advised that the individual was known to the family.

Officers attended the location and spoke with the individual involved. Further investigation revealed that a resident of the dwelling had received unwanted communications from the person. As a result, the individual was taken into custody.

Dante PICCOLO (25) from the Township of Cramahe, has been charged with:

· Trespassing at night

· Criminal harassment

· Harassing communications

The accused was held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
