It’s Official – Dan Borowec is CAO of Northumberland County

In City Hall

Though the announcement was made a few weeks back, Northumberland County council has made it official – Dan Borowec is their new Chief Administrative Officer.

Borowec is the third CAO in less than six months. When long-time CAO Jennifer Moore resigned at the end of September, Director of Health and Human Services Glenn Dees was named interim CAO. Dees resigned, effective March 13, with Borowec named as his successor before Dees’s departure.

Borowec retired in 2025 from his long-time position as Director of Economic Development and Planning.

The bylaw making it official was passed at Wednesday’s county council meeting.

Significantly, the term “interim” will not be part of Borowec’s title. His contract has a one-year term.
