Belleville Police – Incidents Include Warrants, Driver Charged with Impaired (Names Released)

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 207 calls for service beginning at 5:00 am on March 13, 2026 to 5:00 am on March 16, 2026.

Warrants
On March 15th at 9:18pm, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding unwanted persons. It was reported that unknown individuals were present on the property. Upon arrival, officers located and spoke with the individuals. Investigation revealed that one female had outstanding Belleville Police Service arrest warrants for failure to attend court and failure to comply with a probation order X2.
As a result, Jaquelin Bloor, 34-year-old Belleville woman of no fixed address, was arrested on the strength of the warrants. She was released on an undertaking with a scheduled court date in May.

Driver Charged with Impaired
On March 14th at 7:15pm, Belleville Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the city’s east end. It was reported that a vehicle had been observed driving erratically before striking a pole. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle and spoke with the male driver and observed signs of impairment.

As a result of police investigation, Riley Howitt, 21-year-old Belleville male, was arrested and charged with Operation while impaired – alcohol and Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg. He was released on an undertaking with a scheduled court date in April.

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
On March 13th at 9:25am, Belleville Police attended a business on Sidney Street regarding a report of shoplifting. It was reported that a male was observed placing items in his clothing and leaving the store without paying. Upon arrival, officers located the male and spoke with him. Officers observed him to be in possession of multiple items that employees confirmed had not been paid for.
As a result of investigation, a 36-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:
· Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
· Fail to comply with a probation order X3

He was held for a bail hearing.
