Male Arrested After Firearm Investigation at School in Ajax

A male youth is facing several charges after a firearm investigation at a secondary school in Ajax.

On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at approximately 10:55 a.m., members of West Division responded to a call at Father Donald Maclellan Catholic Secondary School located at 458 Fairall Street, after police received information that a student at the school may be in possession of a firearm. Officers located the male at the school and took him into custody without incident. Drugs and a firearm with a prohibited extended magazine were located in the male’s possession.

The accused was already bound by a weapons prohibition at the time of his arrest.

A 17-year-old male from Ajax is facing numerous charges including: Carry Concealed Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device, Possess Weapon Dangerous, Possess Firearm with Ammunition, Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Fail to Comply with Release Order.

He was held for a bail hearing and remanded to a youth detention facility.
