Peterborough County OPP – Charges Laid Relating to Intimate Images (Name Released)

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges in relation to intimate images being shared with a youth.

On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, the Peterborough County OPP received a call from a parent who discovered their child was conversing with an adult and the conversation was sexual in nature. The parent contacted police after viewing the child’s phone and locating sexually explicit images and videos that were being shared between the two.

An investigation began by the Peterborough County OPP Major Crime Unit which resulted in an arrest being made on Thursday January 8, 2026.

Philip TEMOS (age 48) of Hastings, ON., was arrested and charged with;

• Make sexually explicit material available to a person under 18 years of age

• Luring a person under 18 years of age by means of telecommunication

• Possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material

The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.
