City of Kawartha Lakes Police – Two Suspects Charged in Stabbing (No Names Released)

Two people are in custody following a stabbing incident that occurred on January 10, 2026, at a residence on Peel Street.

Kawartha Lakes Police received a call just before 9:00 a.m. regarding a female on Kent Street West who was bleeding from a stab wound. Officers arrived and located both a male and a female who had been injured. Police provided emergency first aid until paramedics arrived. The victims were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators quickly identified the location of the incident and the two individuals responsible. Arrests were made on January 10 and January 13, and both accused were held in custody.

A 43-year-old male from Lindsay was charged with:

· Assault Causing Bodily Harm
· Assault with A Weapon
· Fail to Comply with Probation x 2

A 36-year-old female from Little Britain was charged with:

· Aggravated Assault
· Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
· Assault with a Weapon
· Fail to Comply with Probation

This was an isolated incident and there is no risk to public safety
