Peterborough Police Service – Homicide Investigation Update

Investigators with the Peterborough Police Service have identified three suspects wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

At approximately 6:00am on December 6th, officers were called to, 212 Brock Street, an apartment building in the Brock Street and Aylmer Street area where a man with severe head injuries was located in an apartment.  Despite life-saving efforts, the 33-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Through investigation three suspects have been identified and warrants for their arrest have been issued.

Wanted for 2nd Degree Murder:

28-year-old Peter Pople of Peterborough

44-year-old Michael Waterman of Peterborough

Wanted for manslaughter:

29-year-old Kaya Coughlin of Peterborough

One person has been arrested in connection with the homicide:

32-year-old Dominick Rivers of Peterborough was arrested and charged with:

  • Accessory After the Fact to Murder
  • Fail to Comply with Probation
  • Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code x6

Rivers appeared in court December 10, 2025, was remanded into custody.

Officers continue to search for the wanted people.
