Video – One Person Taken Into Custody After Vehicle Recovered by Cobourg Police

One person was taken into custody after Cobourg Police have recovered a stolen vehicle on private property on Monday, November 24, 2025.

At around noon on Monday, a worker observed a vehicle not associated with the property on Ontario Street in Cobourg.

As the worker approached the vehicle, a woman exited and walked away.

The worker immediately called Cobourg Police who arrived on scene very quickly.

After a brief investigation the woman was taken into custody.

Inside the vehicle were different forms of identification from at least two different people.

One was a driver’s license from a Port Hope resident and another was a health card.

An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and the woman was taken to hospital under police guard.

Today’s Northumberland will update when further information becomes available.
