Cobourg Police – Incidents Include – Breach, Drug Possession, Assault (No Names Released)

A 47-year-old Napanee woman was arrested for breach of release order and drug possession.

On October 19, 2025, police initiated an investigation into a suspected breach of a release order after an individual was observed in the Town of Cobourg in breach of court-imposed conditions.

On November 20, 2025, while conducting general patrol, officers located and arrested the individual for outstanding charges. During the arrest, officers discovered a small quantity of suspected fentanyl inside her purse.

As a result of the investigation, the 47-year-old Napanee woman was arrested and charged with Fail to Comply with Release Order and possession of a schedule 1 substance (fentanyl). The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing and remanded into custody.


A 47-year-old Cobourg man was arrested after police responded to a disturbance on Friday.

On November 21, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police were called to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the Town of Cobourg. A witness reported observing a man strike a woman during an argument. The man left the area on foot.

As a result of the police investigation, the 47-year-old Cobourg man was located, arrested, and charged with Assault – spousal. The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
