Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Uttering Threats at Hospital Staff (No Name Released)

A Cobourg man was arrested after police responded to a report of threats towards hospital staff early Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., police were called to the Northumberland Hills Hospital after security advised a man had threatened a staff member. No injuries were reported to police.

As a result of the police investigation, a Cobourg man was arrested and charged with Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm, Assault with a weapon, Intimidation – Health Services – Impeded health professional, and Fail to comply with Release Order.

The accused was held for a show cause hearing.
