Quinte West OPP – Charges Laid in Break and Enter in Trenton (Name Released)

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following a break in Trenton.

On October 22, 2025, at approximately 01:00 a.m., Quinte West OPP responded to a break and enter in progress at the Cascades facility on Marmora Street. Police received information that several persons were attempting t o steal wiring from the facility. One individual was apprehended by security staff and taken into custody by police.

Kyle PETERSON, 41 years-old from Trenton has been charged with the following offences:

Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offense

Mischief – destroys or damages property

Theft Under $5000

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario court of Justice in Belleville.

The investigation in ongoing.
