Cobourg Police – Three People Treated for Bear Spray/Pepper Spray in Cobourg in the Last 24-Hours

In the past 24 hours emergency services have responded to three people who have been sprayed with pepper or bear spray.

Emergency services responded to just east of Division Street on King Street East on Sunday, August 24, 2025 around 5:30 p.m after a woman was reported to have been sprayed with pepper/bear spray.  The woman was  treated at the scene and taken to hospital.

On Monday around 11:30 a.m., emergency services responded to the east end of town for a report of a person sprayed with bear spray and while emergency services were at that incident, there was another report of a person sprayed with bear spray at Rotary Harbourfront Fountain.

At least one person was taken to hospital for treatment.

It’s unknown if the incidents are related and police have not issued any release.
