Police Investigating Death in Downtown Cobourg

On Friday, August 22, 2025 at approximately 3 p.m., emergency services responded to a individual with vital signs absent on the south side of King Street between Division Street and McGill Street.

Police cleared the scene at approximately 5 p.m. and CPS continues to support the Coroner’s Office in investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.

At this time, the incident is believed to be isolated, and there is no threat to public safety.
