Belleville Police – Incidents Include Warrants, Drug Arrests, Mischief (Names Released)

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 107 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on August 19, 2025 to 5:00 am on August 20, 2025.

Warrants, Drug Arrests
On August 19th, members of Project Renewal observed a vehicle in Belleville’s west end carrying individuals wanted on outstanding warrants. Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested the individuals on the strength of outstanding warrants and the driver operating the vehicle while his license was suspended.

Police seized a quantity of methamphetamines, fentanyl, cocaine and cash.
As a result of the police investigation the following persons were arrested and charged:

Austin COONEY, 30-year-old of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine
· Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000
· Failing to comply with probation order

Jessie DRAKER, 43-year-old of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine
· Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000

Michael CORNWALL-GODDARD, 37-year-old of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine
· Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000
· Fail to Comply with Probation

Amanda LOVELESS, 38-year-old of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine
· Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000

Donald DAVEY, 37-year-old of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine
· Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000
· Drive Under Suspension, HTA

 

Mischief Under Investigation
On August 19th, Belleville Police responded to a call at a building under construction in the city’s north end. It was reported that at approximately 1:45am, two individuals wearing balaclavas were seen on CCTV entering the property area and causing damage. The two individuals also attempted to gain entry but were unsuccessful and fled the scene on foot. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Cst.
