Cobourg Police – Break and Enter Investigation

The Cobourg Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a break and enter that occurred in the area of Rankin Boulevard and King Street in Cobourg at a vacant commercial building.

Through investigation, it is believed that sometime between 10:00 a.m. on August 9 and 1:00 p.m. on August 10, unknown suspect(s) broke into the building through the back door and entered the basement, where they damaged the interior of the building, stealing copper plumbing. It is believed the suspect(s) utilized a vehicle during the offence.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information, dashcam or security footage of the area is asked to call police at 905-372-6821 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or visiting stopcrimehere.ca. Tips received through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
